Who should take internal auditor training?
This route suits employees who audit their own organisation’s occupational health and safety system, process owners and staff joining an internal audit team. It develops a systematic way to test whether arrangements are implemented and effective.
What evidence will you learn to examine?
Link audit evidence to the way an organisation identifies hazards, involves workers and controls operational risk.
- Leadership, worker consultation and participation in the safety management system.
- Hazard identification, legal obligations and operational controls.
- Incident investigation, performance evaluation and corrective action.
From an audit plan to corrective-action follow-up
Study connects audit criteria and scope with practical questions, records and observations. You learn to write findings supported by evidence, report them clearly and follow up corrective action without taking over the process owner’s responsibility.
How does Exemplar Global recognition work?
Exemplar Global recognises training and competency routes, while individual auditor certification has its own requirements. Completion of a course is not the same as individual Lead Auditor certification. Competence can be assessed through exercises, cases and other assessment activities according to the recognised training route.
The relevant system standard and audit competencies need to match the selected course. The training certificate’s scope and any subsequent certification application are separate matters.
Does a good safety record prove the system is effective?
Incident totals alone are not enough. An audit examines whether risk controls are implemented, workers can participate, and monitoring leads to action. This helps distinguish a well-written procedure from an arrangement that works in practice.
