Who should take lead auditor training?
This route is for people preparing to plan and lead management-system audits, including auditors, consultants and team leaders. Knowledge of quality management requirements helps you focus on audit judgement and team responsibilities.
What evidence will you learn to examine?
Examine how an organisation controls its processes, meets customer requirements and uses evidence to improve results.

Planning and leading an audit team
Study covers audit scope and objectives, planning, allocation of team responsibilities, interviews and evidence sampling. You practise forming clear findings, presenting conclusions and managing communication through the closing meeting and report.
How does Exemplar Global recognition work?
Exemplar Global recognises training and competency routes, while individual auditor certification has its own requirements. Completion of a course is not the same as individual Lead Auditor certification. Competence can be assessed through exercises, cases and other assessment activities according to the recognised training route.
The relevant system standard and audit competencies need to match the selected course. The training certificate’s scope and any subsequent certification application are separate matters.
Is a quality audit only a document check?
No. Documents show the intended process, but an auditor also samples records, interviews people and follows work from input to output. The aim is to establish whether processes meet requirements and achieve intended results.
